Reed and his wife, who together raise two daughters, are members of Trinity Reformed Baptist Church of La Mirada, an affiliate of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America; and are members of the American Heritage Party.

His hobbies include baseball, fantasy sports, golf, politics, classical music and internet marketing. In his spare time, Reed publishes a Christian Constitutionalist newsletter.
